If there's one thing I HATE to shop for and spend money on it's running shoes. I hate working out. I am not all about checking in on FB every time I hit the gym. I mean who wants to brag about that?! I don't get excited about putting on my cute little workout outfit and BMCSTYLE hat to match. I do it because I LOVE to cook and eat! In order for me to be able to eat/drink whatever my little heart desires, I MUST RUN! Lately,  I've been lacking gym motivation. I will use any excuse to get out of it. "It's too cloudy outside", "Gym is too packed with New Year Resolutioners", or my personal fav "My eyelashes hurt".

But then like a sign from GOD, I seen these beautys named Nike Free Run 2. Not quite sure what the 1's looked like, but the sequels are gorgeous. Wait. Did I just describe a running shoe as "gorgeous"??? Anyway, not only was I impressed by the actual shoe capabilities, well let's just keep it real, I was sold when I found out I could custom desing them myself! I can't tell you how much I appreciate a man in a well tailored suit! It is my weakness and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Women put so much thought and energy into looking their best on a daily basis. It's refreshing to see a man who does the same. A well tailored suit can perfom miracles for any man. Beyond thrilled with this year's Academy Awards Red Carpet! Everyone was stunning! It was Hollywood glamour at it's best! I'm dyyyyyying over the gowns and jewels, they take me to my happy place.  Quick, someone have a black tie event so I have a reason to wear a floor length gown! First let me start off by saying you shouldn't wait for February 14th to come around to perform a romantic gesture. If you really love someone, you show it all year long. Valentine's Day is cute for children who can exchange V-Day cards with their classmates. Once you become a legal adult, it's a day for suckers. I feel sorry for people who give in to all the corny commercial products like balloons, cards, candy, and the awful teddy bears. Overpriced dinners with prefixed menus and tacky red roses are the worst! So, with all that being said, here are 14 tips to help save you from becoming a certified "V-Day Cornball".

FELLAS:
1. Plan ahead, don't wait until the last minute.
2. Dress up! Throw on a jacket and tie, or suit.
3. Look your BEST (Fresh haircut/shave)
4. Smell your BEST (Shower/Cologne)
5. Be Unique - Instead of buying a card, write a note or letter.
6. When in doubt, always buy jewelry! Something stylish, not tacky!
7. Send flowers a week after V-Day, just because you really are sweet ;)

LADIES:
1. Don't make such a BIG deal out of this day!
2. Dress up! Wear heels and a dress that makes you feel confident and sexy!
3. Look your BEST
4. Smell you BEST
5. Cook up a romantic dinner at home
6. Buy something you would like to see him wear as a gift
7. Step out of your comfort zone for the night ;)

There are no words. Rihanna shut this red carpet down in a custom gown by Armani. Everyone else was crap. Awful. Horrible. Don't even get me started on that Nicki Minaj character. Seriously, GO AWAY already! RiRi may not have had the best live performance but she's NEVER looked better! Who needs to actually be able to sing when you're just that freakin GORGEOUS?!

I also enjoyed Jennifer Hudson's tribute to the one and only, Whitney Houston. Beyond sad. You don't know Whitney if you don't know "You Give Good Love".

One of my best kept secrets at Bloomingdale's is about to be exposed - AQUA! The in house brand is my go to whenever I shop at Bloomies. Price points are on point, the fit is fantastic, and they always seem to have a really cute and charming guy working the department! I always enjoy introducing my clients to the brand. It's an instant love connection! (Right Erica?!). Aqua's latest and greatest collection is full of brights, stripes, and all things color block. FELLAS: JOIN THE CLUB

Club Monaco is one of my favorite stores to shop at for both men and women. If Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren had a baby, it would be named Club Monaco. I LIVE for a well dressed man! I always advise my male clientele to shop at stores where you can't go wrong. GUYS, shopping at Banana Republic, Club Monaco, or Ralph Lauren is a guaranteed win! I challenge each of you to walk out of any of those stores without anything less than an outfit that makes you feel like the confident gentleman that you are. Sometimes, all it takes is knowing where to shop. Shop at the stores that make you feel the most CONFIDENT, not the most comfortable. AROUND THE WAY GIRL

Let me preface this post by saying, I personally can not rock a big hoop. I'm petite and I just feel like the big earrings weigh me down. But oh how I envy a girl over 5'7 who can decorate herself like a beautiful Christmas tree, all blinged out. It seems that the Bamboo earrings from the 90's have come back with a vengeance. If you have ever seen an episode of Basket Ball Wives, Real Housewives of ATL, or Love and Hip Hop, then chances are you've seen the ladies rocking insanely large, blinged out hoop earrings.
